Linda Young
The Artist's Statement

Starting in 2004, I began painting with watercolor; painting realism in portraiture at that time and still life and florals.  Since then and most recently in the past two years, my style is considered impressionist; however representational/abstract could also be the description of the newer water paintings.

I usually take my camera wherever I go; you never know where the next painting or photo reference will come from and I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to capture it.

I teach watercolor at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center and give private lessons at my home studio.  My husband John and I, live in Carlisle, Pa. and are entertained everyday by their very personable West Highland White Terrier, Kaysi.
